How do I submit a paper for publication in the Annual Review of _____________?
Annual Review chapters are written by invitation of our Editorial Committees. See Authors|Manuscript Proposals.

How do I obtain access to Annual Review articles for the purpose of including them in the Annual Review chapter I am writing?
Please contact our Electronic Content Coordinator [search people] to obtain an access key.

Line art, halftones, color: What are your policies and recommendations?
Please see Authors|Author Graphics Guide.

How soon after submission will publication take place for the Annual Review I've been asked to write for?
Please consult our Expected Online and Print Publication Dates.

How does Annual Reviews handle the permissions I may need for illustrative materials copyrighted by other publishers? Will AR pay permissions fees charged by other copyright holders?
We ask our authors to obtain, and convey to us upon submission of a manuscript, the necessary permissions from other publishers. We cannot defray any costs of obtaining photo/illustration distribution rights.

Visit the Librarian Resource Page for a variety of tools and information to help you promote Annual Reviews to your patrons as well as manage your Annual Reviews subscriptions.

Do we have permanent data rights?
Purchasing a subscription that includes online access entitles you to permanent data rights to that volume, regardless of future subscription status.

How do I purchase online access?
Online access can be purchased on a single volume basis for the current year and past 4 years. Permanent data rights are available only for years purchased.

What about online back volume access?

Vendors

What is the publication date of the Annual Review of____?
Please see the our Expected Online and Print Publication Dates within the Catalog section.

What is the ISBN number of the Annual Review of____?
Please see our Catalog section and the specific volume for ISBN/ISSN numbers under the contents page for the particular volume, or please call Customer Service at 800-523-8635.

What makes a site license different from an online only or print + online order?
A site license is the consolidation of all orders into one order for the year, or an order for one of our collections, or a custom plan of Annual Reviews. A multi-location site license is also necessary when access is going to be provided to multiple locations.

Do customers need to sign a site license agreement for their online or print + online orders?
We do not require a signed agreement if the customer is ordering print + online or online only orders. We only require this when an order for a site license is placed, or when the customer is going to provide access at multiple locations.

Can I activate the account for a customer?
Customers should activate their own accounts. They are required to set up a user name/password for the account administrator on their campus.

Is access based on a calendar year?
As of 1/1/2008, an online subscription is no longer limited to 12 months of online access. Subscriptions including online access entitle the institution to permanent data rights to that purchased volume content, regardless of future subscription status. Please see our publication schedule for the expected online publication date of each Annual Reviews journal.

Do you offer discounts to consortia?
Yes. Please contact Andrea Lopez, alopez@annualreviews.org regarding consortia licensing.
