Copyright Permissions
We
require permissions for reproduction of all Annual Reviews copyrighted
material. Requests may be submitted to the Permissions Department
at Annual Reviews via email, fax, or regular mail..
To insure timely processing of your requests, please include your full name, complete mailing address, telephone number, fax number and email address with your permissions request.

Permission Guidelines
Before submitting a request, please check to see if the material to be used is credited to another source. If so, permission must be obtained from the credited source rather than from Annual Reviews. For example, a figure legend with the statement, “Reprinted with permission from _ _ _ _,” indicates that Annual Reviews does not have the copyright to that figure.
Permission Request Requirements
For requests to reprint material in another work:
- title, edition and copyright year of the Annual Reviews volume
- author and name of article
- exact material, including page numbers and figure numbers, for which permission is requested
- author and title of the work in which the material will appear
- publisher and publication date of the work in which the material will appear
- format/media of the new work
For requests to photocopy material:
- title, edition and copyright year of the Annual Reviews volume
- author and name of article
- exact material, including page numbers, for which permission is requested
- number of copies
- purpose of reproduction – if for classroom use, include the school, professor, course, and semester
- to whom material will be distributed
